An association to help farmers and their families
The Northern Ireland Agricultural Producers Association was founded in 1974 to give recognition to the role of the farm in family life.
NIAPA gave recognition to the fact that in NI, farming is not just a business that operates during set hours, but is an integrated part of life for many rural farmers.
NIAPA have always been of the opinion that while some changes can be modified, there are many imposed on the industry over which there is no control. To this end the organisation has endeavoured to help producers manage the change and to create awareness of potential emanating from development throughout Europe and the world.
For over twenty years assistance has been offered with capital grant applications and claims in addition to other livestock premium claims. We also offer farm insurance and can give advice and assistance when it comes to farm inspections.
NIAPA will continue not only to articulate the feelings and concerns of farm families but to also offer hands on help to those who need it.
We can help farmers in a number of areas including:
- Farm representation
- Appeals
- Nitrates calculations
- Herd and flock books checked and completed
- All records checked for FQAS
- Single Farm Payment claims and online claims
- New business applications
- Business change
- Entitlement transfer
- Farm signs made to order
- Insurance
